Eligibility
- Indian sportspersons (male and female)
- Educational Qualification: 12th pass + player
- Age Limit: 18-23 years
- Sports Quota: Represented India at the international level or won a medal at the national level in a recognized sport
- Physical Standards:
- Height:
- Male General, SC, and OBC candidates: Minimum height of 167 cms
- Female (UR, SC, EWS, and OBC candidates, excluding those in para No. 6.4.1): Minimum height of 153 cms
- Chest:
- Male (UR, SC, EWS, and OBC candidates, excluding those in para No. 6.4.1): 81-86 cms (with a minimum expansion of 5 cms)
- No minimum chest measurement requirement for female candidates

The selection process consists of two stages:
